With a unique background in both surgical care and medical dermatology, Justin Sachs brings a wealth of knowledge, technical expertise and compassionate patient care to our practice. His journey into dermatology has been shaped by a deep commitment to helping patients heal, regain confidence and feel supported every step of the way.
Education and Training
Justin Sachs PA began his academic path at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Driven by a desire to combine critical thinking with hands-on patient care, he went on to attend Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), where he earned his Master of Physician Assistant degree.
During his training, Justin Sachs completed multiple surgical rotations at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, focusing on plastic and oral maxillofacial surgery. These rotations exposed him to the artistry and precision required in reconstructive procedures and sparked his enduring interest in combining technical skill with patient-centered outcomes.
After completing his education, Justin Sachs PA began his career in cardiothoracic surgery. In this demanding specialty, he gained invaluable experience managing complex cases and honing surgical skills that would later serve as a strong foundation for his work in dermatology. His early career gave him not only technical expertise but also a deep appreciation for the resilience of patients and the importance of compassionate, attentive care.
He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and EMT-B. These credentials highlight Justin Sachs’ dedication to continued learning and high-quality patient care.

Within dermatology, Justin Sachs PA has developed special interests in Mohs surgery, medical dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
